Benji Price Web Design is a one-person web design business run by Benji Price, a sole trader in Australia. This page explains what personal information I collect, why, and what I do with it. If you have a question, email benji.price.webdesign@gmail.com.
What I collect
- Enquiries. When you use the form on this website I receive your name, business name, email, and anything else you choose to type (mobile, type of business, suburb, message).
- Emails and texts. If you email or text me, or reply to an email I sent, I keep that conversation so I can answer it and remember what we discussed.
- Business contact details. To offer my services I may email businesses using contact details the business publishes itself, such as on its own website or business listing. Every such email says who it is from and has a "no thanks" option.
- Client work. If you become a client, I keep what I need to build your website and bill you: your contact details, the content and photos you send, quotes, invoices and payment records.
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How I use it
- To reply to you and provide the work you ask for.
- To send a small number of emails offering my services to businesses, and up to two follow-ups. If you reply "no thanks", or ask in any other way, I stop and add you to a do-not-contact list so you are never emailed again.
- To keep business and tax records.
I do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and I do not add enquiries to a mailing list.
Google user data
I use a private tool called AgencyOS to run my business email. With my permission it connects only to my own Gmail account (benji.price.webdesign@gmail.com). It does not ask for or access anyone else's Google account.
- What it accesses: messages in my business Gmail inbox, and the ability to send and draft email from that account.
- Why: to send my emails, show me the replies, and spot "no thanks" replies and bounced emails so those people are not contacted again.
- Sharing: Gmail data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with anyone, except service providers needed to run these features (for example, an AI service may help me draft a reply to a message). It is not used to train general-purpose AI models.
- Storage: it is kept on my own computer, with the Gmail sign-in key encrypted.
AgencyOS's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Services I use
Some information passes through the services that run my business: Google (Gmail), Cloudflare (hosts this website), FormSubmit (delivers the enquiry form to my email), Mobile Message (texts), Stripe (card payments) and, when used for drafting, Anthropic (AI). Each handles information under its own privacy policy. Some of these providers store data outside Australia.
How long I keep it
Enquiries and emails are kept while they are useful for the conversation or the work, and client and payment records for as long as Australian tax law requires (usually five years). Do-not-contact entries are kept permanently, so that a "no thanks" is always respected.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted (except records I must keep by law). Email benji.price.webdesign@gmail.com and I will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with my answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
